I think it depends on the breed. My Japanese Bantam hens are a bit crazy. They squawk about everything and forget about catching them. My Silkies are quiet and sweet, little lap babies. Those are the only two bantams I have, but I've always liked the D'uccles and know someone who has them and Rose combs (and a bunch of other bantams) and they are pretty friendly. I think it depends on how much you handle them, too.
