Banty eggs......

Hi I have a question for the Banty folks. I have a little black frizzled Cochin. Last Sun, 1/03/10, she laid an egg. Haven't seen another one since. Is this common for Banties ? She's not in any distress, eating, drinking and walking around.
How often should they lay ?
I thought she was too young....turned 18 weeks 2 days later..post egg.
Can anybody help me please ? Thanks

Ok that's weird...my daughters banty laid her first on the 3rd, and we have yet to see another. It's probably the cold snap causing it. When they first lay they could only lay every several days I've heard.

Thanks for your response !! I thought perhaps they laid every 3 or so days. But when her "time limit" passed I became worried. Like I said..she appears ok. PLUS soooo very cold here. I don't think I'd get up and go lay an egg.
