We bought 4 chicks from our local feed store about two weeks ago. There was a box labeled Bantam, Fancy and Crested. I know NOTHING about chickens at this time so we (my son and I ) pick out 4 cute chicks. We stayed away from the crested-these were obvious-and picked what we thought were all the same breed. I got home did some research and we believed we had 4 Bantams. Now it has been two weeks. One of the chicks has grown exponentially! We are referring to this one as Chickenzilla! It is twice the size of the others. Do we have a Fancy in our Banty Shanty? And what is the difference? Is a fancy a breed? Will it be a normal sized chicken? Or is it just going through a growth spurt? And why does the feed mill put them all together-are they all miniature breeds? Here is a photo from two weeks ago-the golden is the one in question and the yellow speckled we know is a bantam. And a recent photo together, they are about two weeks old. Thanks!

Without seeing the legs of the second one, I am going to put my guess out there as a silver sebright.

Now seeing the legs, I would be confident in saying sebright. The other looks to be a red sex-link.
