Banty gone broody again but I don't want the eggs to hatch......

This is my 2nd round of having 3 banty hens go broody. I'm so sick of this! I know it sounds crazy but this is too much. I do not want any more banty chickens. I have had enough of banty chickens for the year!!! What I have been doing is putting eggs from my standard chickens under the broody banty's and they have been having a perfect hatch rate.

Today I noticed that 1 of my banty hens went broody about 3:00 pm today. I wanted to make sure that she wasn't just laying an egg, so I decided to check on her when I went out to lock the coops a few minutes ago. Well, lo and behold, she was in the same spot, so she has gone broody. I do not want the banty eggs that she was setting on. There are also 5 other eggs underneath her but I don't think that they are fertile. There isn't a rooster in this chicken pen area. I have already removed those eggs from under her. I have set some other eggs under her that I know are fertile.

My question is..........do I throw the 7 eggs away that she is setting on? Has she been setting on the eggs too long? Has anything started to develop in 5 - 10 hours of her setting? Are the eggs safe to eat or should I just get rid of them?

Are you asking about the eggs you took away or the eggs you stuck under her? If there' no roo in that pen and the eggs aren't fertile then they won't develop no matter how long she sits on them. Either way a few hour won't hurt. It's 100 degrees here all day without a broody and I still collect my eggs at the end of the day and eat them.

They should be fine and great for eating. I wouldn't if they were a couple of days old, but at only 5-10 hours old they shouldn't have developed yet.
