I've read a few of the fox protection threads but I can't find an answer ot my question. I probably just haven't looked hard enough but I'll ask anyway.
I am planning on fencing a run for my chickens just for when I am home. They have a roofed run for when I am not but I don't want them to free range as I am on 2.5 acres with a large garden which I would like to stay planted. I've read a lot about ground level fox proofing but not top of fence stuff. If I have a four foot fence will a couple of layer of barbed wire be any deterrant for foxes? Fortunately I don't have to worry about other predators where I am (Sydney, Australia)
Thanks in advance.
