Barbie pink chunks in 1yr old chicken eggs

Howdy, :frow and Welcome to Backyard Chickens.

Happy :ya to have you here with us. Enjoy your time here at BYC!

It isn't a 'lashed egg', I don't really know what it is but if I had to guess, I'd say it was a deformed ovum? that was released about the same time with a good ovum, most likely before the good ovum was released.

Thanks for joining our community! :celebrate

Hello Melissa, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
It doesn't look like infectious material to me but the fact that she laid the egg in the run suggests she isn't feeling well. It's only because of her laying location choice I might consider treating her with a broad spectrum antibiotic like amoxicillin or ciprofloxacin IF she looks like she is acting off.
I had a hen lay a lash "egg" when she was about 2.5 years old. She never behaved any different and she is still alive and well at almost 5 years old and still laying. Just because some reproductive tissue or infection material is found in the nightly poop load or a piece of it gets wrapped up in an egg is not a death sentence for the hen nor does it automatically require antibiotics to administered.
Watch her. See if she seems off.

Hello, I need help. I have a one-year-old red, she decided to start laying outside of the box in the run. I didn’t think much of it. I brought the egg in and cracked it follows a fresh egg and was going to cook it and it had Barbie pink chunks in it. it wasn’t the meat spot. It was pink pink chunks can anybody help me with this? I don’t know what that is I’ve never had any problems the chickens always just do what they do. I have five of them. Please help if you know what that is
