Bare back and neck. Rejecting the saddle

Has anyone given up and let their hen’s back stay bare? One of my hens is so over mated and so very bare in her back and the front of her neck.

She tolerated an apron for about a week but then tore it off. New feathers didn’t seem to fill in anyway.

She seems entirely unbothered by the whole situation.

Advice?

She won't get in new feathers until she molts. You can trim your roosters spurs, that might help.

I would look at getting a different saddle, X2 on trimming and filing your roos spurs. I wouldn't leave it as there is the chance for serious injury. I have nothing but good things to say about these
