I have three birds, Josie an americana, Ruby a black maran and Virginia a silver wyandotte. The maran and the americana came from the same breeder but the wyandotte came from another. They've been together for 3 months now and have established their 'pecking order' Josie is on the bottom and therefore the other two birds have pecked her feathers clean out of a patch of her back near her bottom. Is this normal behavior? Someone mentioned they might need calcium added to their diet however their shells so far have been fine? Any other ideas? There hasn't been any visible blood just a funky butt
