Bare breast meat birds

my meat birds all have a somewhat bare breast. They are 5 weeks old and I’m assuming this is due to them sitting most of the day. Is this normal?

Yeh, pretty normal. I try to keep the food and water separate so they need to get up and walk to either of them. Not sure if it really helps or not. Right now my 4 week old chicks are in a brooder that has a ramp. Food up to and water down below. They seem to love running up and down the ramp.
