Bare butt chickens, not sure why

:welcome:woot:woot:celebrate:yesss:Hello Laura and welcome to BYC, You found an Awesome poultry Forum to be a part of with many great knowledgeable members who are more then willing to jump in and help you with any questions you may have. :)

Sorry you are having pecking issues in your flock, :( Best of luck correcting it and please keep us all posted. :)

Feeding organic layer pellets, they get organic scratch in chicken run daily and Brumblies meal worms couple times a week. Chicken house is 8x16 with lots of roosts. Outside chicken run 16x 32 ft with logs and stumps. I think plenty of room. I never see anybody picking on anyone else so assuming happening at night but again lots of roost space. Agree need to find cause.
I recommend you start another thread in the Coop and Run Forum with pictures of the coop and the run. You may need more enrichment.
I would feed a higher protein content feed (18-20%) like All Flock, Flock Raiser or a chick starter with oyster shell on the side and stop the scratch for the time being. Most layer mixes only offer 16% protein, which is the bare minimum. Feeding scratch dilutes the total protein intake.
Boredom can also lead to bad behaviors like feather picking.

Hi Laura, welcome to BYC!
Everything @DobieLover says.
Also, are your roosts all the same height? Are they spaced far enough (18") apart? Do you have 12" per roost space per chicken?
There is an article on here somewhere on cluttered runs to prevent boredom. I know your chickens are most likely pecking at night but day time stimulation prevents night time picking. (Think tired toddlers)
Your rooster may need his nails and spurs trimmed.
Good luck with your flock!
