Bark Dust ?!?

Just built a coop RUN on an area that has small bark dust ..over weed guard !! I know I need to take out the weed guard so they dont scratch it up and eat it , but will the bark dust hurt them ??? I can shovel it out and it would be just dirt .... or should I leave it ??

I'm not familiar with bark dust. Is it like real dust or is it more like bark chips only smaller?

Never mind! I just googled.

I would think that would be quite fine. But yes, as you've said, take out the weed guard. The chickens will scratch at the bark dust and mix it all in with the dirt before you know it.
