Introducing new birds can also throw things off, so it could be a combination of factors. Another things you didn't mention was the feed, which needs to have adequate protein. They look like happy and healthy birds, though!

Feed should be ok, they've been eating the same feed since the beginning with sufficient protein and calcium.

For a hen to get the benefit of supplemental lighting you will need to use incandescent light bulbs that produce or give off ultraviolet light. A chicken has the ability to see objects in light spectrums that are invisible to us.

Chickens also have the ability to "SEE" light with organs other than their eyes. It is safe to say that a chicken sees a totally different world than you or I.

No offence, but I don't really subscribe to your school of thought. I know many chicken keepers use LED lights that work just fine for winter laying. To me incandescent light bulbs are old technology that is inefficient in converting electricity to light but also not as environmentally friendly as you have to replace them more frequently. Thank you for sharing though.

Hmmm, maybe I skimmed too fast but I thought it said LED was full spectrum.
