Barnevelder breeders lets work together and improve the breed

Stoneunhenged, Glad to be able to note that for you. I have been drooling over your silver barnies since you put up the pics. And am following your Tolbunt Orp project as well. You do a good service to us by bringing in new birds to the states.

stoneunhenged,

It's really frustrating to me that people and hatcheries mislead buyers by using others photos. I suspect no one feels this way more than you do.

I'm so glad to hear your Silvers are healthy and productive. You have beautiful birds and I can't wait to see more of them around. They are my favorites by far.

Probably thought nobody would notice since it was a UK ebay listing...guess they thought wrong

After years of waiting, I'm finally getting my Barnie flock started.

These little guys came in earlier this week from Mountain Ridge Poultry. I also have eggs from TLS Ranch in lockdown to hatch this weekend. Can't wait!

They look great!

I just set some TLS Ranch Blue Barnie eggs in the 'bator this morning so we'll see what I have in 21 days! I am so happy to be able to start my Barnie flock this year too!

Good Morning and happy Saturday! Reading the Barnevelder standard doesn't help me much in looking at a chicken and figuring out the quality. I guess I'm too visual. I was wondering if anyone would post a picture of a hatchery quality / pet quality Barnie side by side with a top of the line show quality Barnie and provide a bit of context around the features that make the SQ better? It would be great to have it for hens and roos. Anyone? Thanks! ~Shanna
