I'm really excited to be a part of this site. I raise Barnevelders, 21 ladies and 2 gentlemen.
My henhouse is in my yard and part of my landscape, as are my chicks. I've raised chicks for over 15yrs and grew up with grandma cooking one every sunday mornng. I am raising them as a food source, just as we raise beef and pork. I want a safe food chain for my family plus I love the chickens, to watch them play and run.
