Barnevelders- boy or girl?

I have two that are 5ish week. Thoughts?
Those aren't Barnevelders. They look like Easter Eggers. The front one may be some kind of Wyandotte criss depending on where you got them from. Both pullets though.

I think both pullets
Any idea why they are feathering out different? One is much darker than the other. Is that normal for the breed? This is my first time with barnevelders. Here’s some pics from a week or so ago where you can really see their different coloring.

Totally normal. I have many from the same mom and dad and they all look so different!

What makes you say not barnevelders?

Interesting. Someone above said these two don’t look like barnevelders. Do they look like barnevelders to you?

I can't find a good recent picture of mine, this is the best I have. I'll take some for you tomorrow though. Red dot is one of my barnevelder pullets. The black is super glossy and iridescent.

These were my Barnevelders at a similar age. They did indeed grow up into Barnevelder hens, just hatchery quality.

I have two the same age right now and I've raised them before. The coloring and pattern isn't at all right. Where did you get them from?
They are definitely hatchery quality. I got them from a local farm store but I think they source chicks from ideal poultry. I got them for my broody mama (I don’t have a rooster) and they were some of the only chicks I could find at the time so I’m not too bothered. But I have always thought barnevelders were beautiful so I hope they end up looking somewhat like them. The double lacing is gorgeous.
