I looked at a house for sale today that had a big barn, and was wondering what I would fill it up with. Thats when I wondered what everyone else does their barns. So what do you do with your barns?

Oh, How I'd love to have a farm with one of those big huge Amish type barns. What I could do with one of those.

I'd certainly have breeding pens inside with a goodly number of enclosed runs leading to the outside with built in water plumbing and feeders etc....

And I'd probably have a couple of dexters and a jersey to milk.

OH the delema what to do with such a big space? oh I dunno fill it with things that need to be brushed and pet and rode and fed..... and things that would feed me and toys and hay and feed..... OOOH TO have such a building!!!! and ALL the money to buy all the things I want!!!

Fill it up with critters.

Thats my vote!

We have an old dairy barn- we call it the "Milk Cow Barn" but it now houses birds.

But then a few of our other barns/buildings have names too:
Camel Barn
Zebra Barn
Heated Barn
Monkey Shed
Brooder Barn
Peacock Coop
Sheep Shed
Lofing Barn
Llama Barn

plus the usuals- Shop, Grainery, Feed Shed, etc.

Ours has... animals... We have a section for the goats, a section for the sheep, a section for the horses. We have an old hog barn, but no hogs... A few old calving barns, but no calves to put in them...

I have another question, how do you section of ares for goats and sheep? How big of an area etc?
