I know these are bad pics, and I'll try to get better ones tomorrow.
I got 18 fertile eggs from a friend from my firat-time broody mamas, 15 hatched. (Holy cow! Beginner's luck?!)
My friend has know idea what kind of chickens they have, so they are some sort of mix. Most of the eggs were a medium brown color, about 5 were blue/green.
Some of the chicks hatched with cheek muffs already, some look like they're going to have pea combs, all are some shade of brown with most having various black feather patterns over their hackles and backs.
I will add individual pictures when I get them.
Thanks for any input!
(The yellow chicks in the last few pictures below are Cornish Cross. My Awesome first time mamas together raised 15 chicks that they hatched, plus 25 Cornish Cross chicks! )
