I have an extra quad of young Barred Hollands. The pullets have not begun to lay yet but close, they are 5 months old now and this is a slow to mature breed. I bought them as started chicks from a breeder in New York who is breeding toward the SOP but of course, this breed has a ways to go. They are from white eggs but no guarantee they don't also carry a gene for tinted eggs. They are immature so there is still growing to do, the legs have a smattering of black over yellow on the pullets but the cockerels have nice clean colored legs. I'm keeping a trio for myself and would like to invite the buyer to join the Barred Holland thread and work with us to bring this critically endangered breed back to a safe status. It's going to take several breeders working together with the ALBC to put it all together.
I do ship, shipping boxes are $7 each, it will take 2. Actual cost to ship will be calculated before shipping and total provided. I do save a bit by paying online and printing my own shipping labels so that saves close to 30%.
Photo was taken in April, right before I moved them to the grow out pen. I separated the cockerels to another pen to finish maturing a few weeks later as they were showing signs of maturing. The pullets remain in the grow out pen with my juvenile Araucana's and I haven't had any eggs from any of them at this time.
