This is my 3 week old barred Plymouth rock - Reggie.

Just wondering if anyone has any insight on male or female.
Thanks so much in advance :)

I certainly hope so. I have been thinking pullet... She is just developing her comb faster than some of my other chicks and always holds her little tail up.

From what I've read, tail feathers come in much earlier on pullets than cockerels...and the color of the comb/wattles is the biggest sign...larger and redder earlier on: cockerel. Smaller and beige/light pink until closer to laying age: pullet. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule.

I have three 10-week old BR pullets and their combs were that size at 3 weeks.

Thanks everyone ! She's my only barred rock in the bunch so it makes comparison harder

Mixed ideas..If anyone thinks any more pictures would be helpful just let me know the view.

I guess I will just have to wait this one out
