The barred rocks? Mine have not layed yet but I believe they lay light or sometimes dark brown eggs.

I opened the door to the coop to let them free range in the snow but the only one that came out was Nugget. I pulled a few other chickens out but they just ran back in the coop.

Nugget had a lot of fun.

Yeah, she was very interested in her chicken tracks. She ate the snow only when it was in my hand. Maybe it tasted better?
