There are quite a few people here that have had Marans from TSC.

Cuckoo, not BC.

Agreed, I'm thinking Asian Black or Black Sex Link.

I do believe some have gotten BCMs at a farm store.....quite a few hatcheries carry them now. However, this simply doesn't look like one to me (though it could be an unusual specimen). Never raised one with dark legs, including toes.

Perhaps a mom and pop would order them if you ask and prepay. But you can't even special order BC Marans from TSC. Asian Black, though, has been plentiful there the past few years and black sexlink is common. And both can look like the pictured chick.

So true! Normally, TSC only carries the most common of the common.
