Barred Rhode Island Red?

I'd like to hear your ideas about recreating them.
I've done it myself but always wanting to hear from others to see if they're process would be different then my own.
For clarification are we considering the barred RIR as a true breed and not a hybrid? Since the was some conversation earlier about the barred RIR basically being a rhodebar just wanted to make sure before answering.

Might be able to kind of answer the question. To recreate the rhodebar or bielefelder (the two existing breeds I thought looked most like that picture posted) I'd do this:

(Much clearer than what I would write plus pictures)

To just shoot in the dark without taking more genetics into account a red or brown rooster over a barred hen and see if any of the F1 end up like that.

Maybe something like this:

A barred RIR wouldn't be a hybrid unless it was a cross of a RIR and a rhodebar or simular.
And at that point not even sure I'd call it a hybrid since the rhodebar would be basically what the cross would be creating except taking a step backwards because of losing a barred gene.

That formula wouldn't work to create a barred RIR.
Crossing to a barred hen wouldn't work for F1s unless the hen was basically a barred RIR type already.
RIR have a few different genes to create that color/pattern so when crossed to something like a barred rock you'll lose half of the necessary genes then you'd have to get them all back while maintaining the barring. Not as easy of a task as creating something like a legbar as that formula is doing.

Trying to get some screen shots but not having luck attaching photos atm. Just for fun:

In the drop down boxes use the 2nd row for English. When you've made your selection click the link TO CHICKEN CALCULATOR (on the same row you selected the drop downs will take you to the English page)
Edited to correct typos
