Barred Rock 6 week olds. Girls, right?

These girls are just over 6 weeks old. Nicely feathered and nice sweet birds. I wanted to confirm that they are indeed girls. Both are identical as far as comb and wattle development. The combs are pink, the wattles have a touch of pink. I didn't expect them to change colors so young.

At 6 weeks old I would say pullets. Cockerels are usually lighter in color as well.

Ladies they are ! I got very fortunate on my last bunch of chickies...one roo and one pullet........ the roo is much much lighter and comb is already here at 5 weeks! LOVE this breed
