How likely is a Barred Plymouth Rock or a Rhode Island Red to go broody?

Guess I'm cursed then.. If my RSL turns on me that's it! Broody Icebath! lol. I have both broody. RIR the day before the Barred Rock! They are out to get me!Both at the exact same time? Maybe, if they are secretly silkies.
My barred rock hatched out three chicks and I gave her 19 (there is a silkie sharing duties) and she is a wonderful mother! I've seen her fit all of them under her while the silkie has not a single chick lol. Thing is, she is a little fast.. How to explain that.. She walks without looking and steps on them. She's too excitable lol. Anyway.. She's a great mom when she is not stepping on themSome would look at that as a blessing. Alternately it could be the hens think you have a great place and want to share it with other chickens, the only way they know how.

In this case it has made an impact! I have a Red Sex Link that is threatening to go broody.. She's making those broody noises while walking around... You know the "Bok bok bok" they do sometime before they go broody. Don't think I've had a single broody who hasn't done that up to a couple weeks before setting.Certainly it could have an impact. She has the experience of being in a brood raised by hen. But unless she was the genetic daughter she would not have have her mothers genes to go broody, but she got them anyway. You know it could be like the intelligence debate over nurture vs nature.
Very cute!In this case it has made an impact!
