Barred Rock Chick question

Do ALL BR chicks (babies) have some sort of spot on the head? I have an alleged BR baby but has a solid black head with a yellow eye mask....hmmm

I am not an expert but I don't think they do. Mine has a little yellow spot which I was told is a pullet.

Just realized this chick also has a BLACK beak....BR or not?? no clue.

That I'm unsure, mines mostly yellow.

The "mask" and black beak make me think that it's not a BR. However, I'm a TOTAL NEWB...so....lol

The more I look at it I'm thinking it's not, but I'm a newbie too and only own one BR.

Yes...head spot indicates presence of barring genes.....no spot, no barring....chick shown in first post is not a br
