my name is Lilla and I'm a new chicken owner of 3 barred rock chicks (Felicia, Becky and Jessica)
I have no idea what i'm doing i just don't wont them to die:fl i desided on chickens because I LOVE animals and my family eats at least 2 eggs every day so its a win win

I'm very excited/nervous but mostly excited to learn how to raise chickens

Hi! :frow :welcome It's so exciting to have you here! :woot
I would love to see pictures of your chicks! :D And you chose a good pet--with benefits, as you know--to have! :thumbsup
They shouldn't just up and die; but I understand why you're worried about them. :) Browse around to learn more on the care for them, and don't hesitate to ask questions. ;) We don't roll our eyes at beginner's questions. We're all here to share and learn. :hugs

Lilla, you are in good hands with this website. Great, helpful people. Everyone I have met has been friendly.
Feed them chick starter food to begin with, plenty of cool water, shade(if outdoors) AND plenty of attention. The more you socialize with them, the easier and more fun it will be.
