Hello! First time chicken mom here. Although I grew up with chickens I was too young to remember all the care details. I got my chick from tractor supply march 9th,2023. I believe they were close to a week old at that point. They are fully feathered and have been outside on the few nice days we have had here in NH. Our weather still ranges from 36-60 degrees, would my chickens be okay to stay in there coop full time? They are currently not using any heat lamp and are in my basement which is about 68 degrees.

Hi. I have 8 which hatched right around the same time as yours. They are still in my basement because I am finishing off the security of their coop. I will wait to put them out full time until the Temps do not drop any lower than 40 at night. Not a rule, just my thought. It's hard enough leaving them out for the first few days, I don't want to worry about them being cold.

Since they are feathered and weaned from heat, they will be fine in a properly ventilated coop.

Thank you! They have a coop with a long run. I have been nervous to put them outside over night when it drops below 50. I worked hard to make sure all of the ones I got made it this far.
