Barred Rock Chicks ?

Ya that picture isn't very good , I can hardly see the feathers coming in to look at the colors . The darker the feathers and the barring the more likely a hen , the lighter in coloring more likely a male.

this one is a little better.

When will my chicks be fully feathers? They are about a week old.

I was also told that you can pick up the chicks and when you pick them up the ones that pull their legs up are hens and the ones that stick them straight out are roosters ??? Anyone ever heard that before ?

My daughter gender guesses this way, but she uses the opposite. She holds them over their head (thumb on chest, middle finger down the back, and pointer and ring fingers over their shoulders. If the chick does not fuss or kick its legs it is a hen if it pulls the legs up or kicks and struggles it is a cock. So far, by doing this for some friends she has been right.
