Barred Rock Cockerel or Pullet

I am at my wits end with this thing.

Please tell me we’ve got a pullet and not another train wreck of a guess from big r.

Age is about 3.5 weeks. Doesn’t seem to have the same attitude as my confirmed cockerel. But as we know, that doesn’t mean anything. I know the best answer is to wait. But anticipation is killing me.

I hate to say it... But I'm pretty sure you got a cockerel there. I can tell because he's very light with more white. Pullets will be darker with more black.

can you get a pic out in the sun? natural lighting? I can't honestly tell if I'm seeing a light bird, or a slightly washed pic from the flash. Otherwise, I'm on the fence.

Cockerel....at that age the barring on pullets is more like spots than stripes...and for 3.5 weeks the feathering is slow
It's not a nightmare of a guess, just a missexed bird, with the ambiguous nature of what can be seen when vent sexing, it's only surprising that it doesnt happen more

Too young. Post pics of the comb at 6 weeks.

With hatchery birds, you can't really rely on barring.

The light colored is cockerel the other is a pullet even hatchery are that way

Today we are at another week. They’ve been slowly introduced to outside. I’m so torn with this baby.
