Barred Rock Gender and a weird Aussie (I think it's weird)

Well, they could be Australorps OR Jersey Giants.

The one in your hand has a yellow tinge to the top of his feet, and I'm wondering if he doesn't have a yellow tinge on the bottom.

The yellow on the bottom means it's a Jersey Giant. White/pink on the bottom is Black Australorp. (Most hatchery Jersey Giants don't have the yellow skin on the bottom. So it's not always true.)

I do think the rest of your Australorps ARE Australorps! lol You just got "lucky" with the Black Sex-Link females! They usually only throw in the males as "packing peanuts."

I'm glad to hear that. I've looked at the bottom of the feet on most of them and they're white.

So I guess it's safe to say that the chicks with brown on them in addition to the black are sex links. If so, I have at least 3 sex links aside from the 3 males.

Another update...

I just counted them up and I have 13 chicks with either brown somewhere on them or yellow bottoms on their feet.

So out of what I ordered, which was 20 Australorp females, 5 BA males and one extra (The Rare one) and minus the one that died, I have 14 Australorps that may or may not all be Aussies.
