So I've heard. That I could probably handle, but having 3 roos I could not.

The flash washed out her color in this pic, but you can see her sad "barred" pattern better

She is definitely a SHE! She started laying 1st out of all my pullets this year (aside from the Cornish Rocks) even though she is one of the youngest I have. And either she could win an award for being the BR with the worst barring, or she is something other than a BR or a BR cross. Whatever she is, she is wonderfully sweet and lays beautiful dark brown eggs... sometimes they're even speckled.

She could be a BR cross, with the BR as the sire, giving her barring, but having it muddied by her mother. In fact, I'd bet on it. As I mentioned previously, Cuban Longtails hatched a few of mine with my BR roo over Buff Orp, RIR, etc. They did look similar. Barbara is pretty!

Thanks! She is quite the little character and is always the first to come running whenever I go out to the run.

Not sure if it was the flash, but she looks like she has whitish legs. Could she be a BR crossed with a cuckoo marans or a dominique? Either way she is so beautiful!!!!
