Barred rock gender?

Here are photos. There are actually two but they look very similar to me.

They should be close to four weeks old now. Will post again at six weeks, adding this photo for purposes of showing some age progression.

I'd say female. A pure barred rock male would be double barred and have more white in his barring. Their combs are also rather small and pale. Did you buy them as sexed pullets or buy them from a farmer?
