Barred Rock hen or roo?

Someone saw my Barred Rock online last night and said she is actually a he! Please tell me that’s not true. I may actually cry! We can’t have Roos
18 weeks.

I hope so! None of our girls have crowed. I don’t see saddle feathers. She’s my favorite so I really hope not a roo

That's a pullet. Male BR have double barring, yours does not. If she was male you would also notice male specific feathers growing in and a much bigger comb.
