Barred rock hen or rooster

Ill post a few more pictures of Wilf and post a few pictures of my new barred rock hen. Out of the mix I've got.. light sussex, cream legbar, barred rock and appenzeller who will produce the most eggs??

I would guess it's a toss up between the Sussex and the Barred Plymouth Rock.

Definitely not!



Here's the difference between my hatchery stock (left) and heritage stock (right) Notice the form? Notice the clearer barring? It's a huge difference when you put them side by side. Your boy is even better than mine on the right. At least I think so.



Here is my hatchery hen. Boy is she productive though. Also a great mother.

There's a big noticeable difference between tve two!! Sorry for my novice questions but I'm new to all of this. I've always like the barred rock and decided to include them on my wanted list when I decided to get hens, I went to a guy who keeps chickens and he only had two so I'm pleased I've ended up with two decent birds.
