Barred Rock Hen??

Hi all! I have been lurking here for several months but this is my first post. I purchased this chicken a little while back and when doing so I was told she was a "domineker" pullet. So far we have no eggs from her and she occasionally tries to crow which leads my hubby to believe she is actually a "he" though I am not convinced of that yet.

Anyway... after much reading on different breeds of chickens I am inclined to believe that this is a barred rock hen who should start producing eggs any time now.

What do the more experienced folks here in BYC think? Thank you in advance for your input!!

Hatchery grade Barred Rock. The old folks from many years ago, called just about any old barred bird a Domineker. This term isn't precise.

Well darn... wishful thinking on my part, I guess. He's pretty aggressive towards my other birds and I have 22 BR eggs from a breeder in my incubator so I guess this one will end up in the freezer.
