Barred Rock or New Hampshire?!!!

which breed is more docile and good with kids? I'm getting a mixed flock of 4 and they are all very gentle breeds.... Which ones best?!

The Rock will be better than New Hampshire. But then it does vary by individuals.

The Reds and Red Sex Links tend to be a bit more standoffish. Training your birds with treats is easy and all will get to where you can pick them up except the Mediterranean class birds. They tend to stay skittish. Reds in my experience are harder on new introductions to the flock. As birds age and you want to work in a few new pullets red and red sex links can be really hard on them.
