Back in college (way too long ago!) I took astronomy, hoping we'd actually do something like look at the stars, use a telescope, that sort of thing. It was just another physics class, we spent all our time in the lab calculating the distance between stars and rotational speed! I felt bad for the non-science majors, they really looked lost. I was annoyed because I was already neck deep in physics, math, chemistry, etc, I had very few electives and I didn't need more of the same old thing! Good luck with your hatch! I won't name any of your eggs after an equation, though I do have a pied quail named Pi, and another (just to balance things out) named R^2, apparently my geekiness isn't something I outgrew!
