Barred Rock please help sexing

I think the head spots are pretty difficult to "read" accurately. As soon as they have enough feathers to really see the barring, males have thicker white bars than black while females are the opposite. Females also tend to have a slightly more "messy" look to the barring because of the single copy of the gene vs. the males having two.
