Barred Rock pullet or cockerel? Pic HEAVY!

Thank you, everyone! Any suggestions on how to get her to stop being such a bully? She also herds the other chicks about so it makes everyone quite nervous.

You can't. They have to work out their own pecking order. As long as no one is injured, don't interfere. This is normal chicken life. Barred Rocks are not pushovers in a flock, rarely at the bottom of the pecking order.

Speckled, thanks for the tip. We split them up, but they're still next to one another. Four in one and four in the other. The white girl needed to be separated because she got bloody more than once; we were afraid she was going to be killed. She's a White Rock - and I guess didn't hold her own like her Barred Rock cousin. We've been putting Neosporin on her back... I hope that's ok.

The barred rock has now nearly plucked the backs of the other chicks in with her. I'm hoping they don't get bloody as well. Maybe the best idea would be to put all the chicks back together so they could "heal" and put her in with the baby roo. He's still bigger than her, so perhaps he would put her in her place? I'd rather the roo rule, but who am I to say??
