Barred rock pullet or cockerel?

Thank you Matabele ! And everyone so far. I hope ayria is not ayrion but if so.... He needs a home, well unless I can get him de- crowed, lol. Bye the way, yes according to those pics she does have gorgeous birds!

It's a Boy! Little bugger decided to cross the yard and attack me this morning. As he attempted to jump up on me he quickly found himself hanging upside down by his feet! Once he calmed down, which by this method is pretty quick, I took the opportunity to fully inspect his incoming plumage. Tail feathers very pointed, hackles definite and the clincher, you guessed it... Saddle feathers are coming in strong! 'Sigh'. Now the hunt for a good home starts! He is now only 14 weeks but showing all the signs of becoming a prize roo! Anyone on the west coast of BC, Canada need a barred rock cockerel ?

Mamm wife.

OH MAN!

I was holding out hope for you Mamm. Ah well. He better get that crossing the yard garbage in check or he isn't going to make it to being a prize roo! Nothing worse than a nasty roo. My first one was a horror!

Sorry love, thanks for posting about him, I've been wondering. I'd love to see a picture of him if you can!

Thanks MB! There are three of him in the very first post of this thread and I'll try to get a couple good shots tomorrow when he comes to have coffee with me in the morning. I always go out on the deck and he comes and perches on the chair next to me. As for his aggression every time he's pulled something he always gets hung upside down immediately, lol. Usually keeps him in line for a few weeks till he tries something new. Honestly he's never taken a run at anything like that before let alone a run at me. Must have been a combination of the crows hassling them this morning and the brightly coloured skirt I was wearing. All the birds were tense.

This is my little roo at 4 weeks

What a handsome guy, and I LOVE that picture of him on your son, grandson? Too bad you can't keep him, he is beautiful!

That's my youngest son with him. Looks like we are going to return him to his breeder when my hubby gets back from New Zealand. I'm going to miss him :(:( but I'm just not allowed to keep a rooster!

Quick update on Ayrion's situation. We returned him to his breeder and he has been re homed on a larger farm with 10 new barred rock pullets to watch over!
