I have a barred rock that is 9 days old that I got from someone who got them from a hatchery and the hatchery said they were all female( I know that's not always accurate) it has a fairly big white spot on it's head, one wing is dark and one has a little more baring not as much as pics online though it has lots of feather layers and it's feet are brown I'm leaning toward a pullet. Because I have heard people say they've had pullets with large white spot just want a few more opinions

(I read online barred rock pullets have brown legs and males have yellow,) and mine has the one wing is super dark and the other one has some white but it's not that defined hope y'all have some answers

That spot is confusing me. Females are supposed to have a well defined spot, while males' spots run into the gray, like on your chick. Everything else seems to say pullet though... Maybe someone else can help you better with this.

I know it is confusing but some have large and some have none here's a pic I found online both the spots on the male and female look big

Mines wing also covers it's whole body don't know if that is an indication it's a female or not but⤵ this pullets wing is longer then the males again don't know if this helps you just thought I'd throw it out there

No, I know it doesn't have anything to do with size. I meant that the spot looks more male while everything else about the chicken says female.

It's a pullet.
My Barred Rock pullet had a large headspot that faded into the back of her neck. I had 2 others, but they died a day after arrival.
Both females if mine had large headspots while my male had a headspot that was almost non existent.
