Hello!
First time chicken mom! I have a barred rock that is making me question her? Him?
Her comb developed early but the tips are yellow and it’s pink not red.
I see no saddle feathers or the neck feathers… Her legs are think but she has a mild black wash on them, (was very dark as a chick)
Her colouring is pullet…
I’m praying she’s a pullet. She’s so sweet and I’m urban so I can’t keep
Him.
HELP!!

Looks like a cockerel. Below is a picture of a 11 week old female barred rock and a 6 week old female.

Poop.
Thanks this is his buddy.
Their colouring is the same just the comb is different so I was hoping she was just a fast maturer.

He's all boy. Don't fall in love with him since you're urban. Either rehome him pronto, before your heart is invested, or decide if you have the stomach to process him for your dinner table once he starts crowing. They tend to be a bit on the lean side if you process them just as soon as they start crowing, but still makes for a fine chicken n dumplings. If your neighbors will tolerate him crowing for 6 to 8 weeks, you could get a right fine family meal out of him. If you elect to put him on the dinner table, ask your neighbors FIRST if they have the patience for him to mature a little first so that you can plan the menu accordingly.
