Barred Rock pullet or Roo? 9 weeks

He's all boy. Don't fall in love with him since you're urban. Either rehome him pronto, before your heart is invested, or decide if you have the stomach to process him for your dinner table once he starts crowing. They tend to be a bit on the lean side if you process them just as soon as they start crowing, but still makes for a fine chicken n dumplings. If your neighbors will tolerate him crowing for 6 to 8 weeks, you could get a right fine family meal out of him. If you elect to put him on the dinner table, ask your neighbors FIRST if they have the patience for him to mature a little first so that you can plan the menu accordingly.
His name is Dumplings lol.
I’ll re-home him. Or my breeder will
Take him back.

Thanks very much

I have four cockerels 'aging' in the fridge. They were being rowdy and frisky, so frisky that my bantam hen refused to sleep in the same coop with them; my other hens are full size girls and were able to teach them some personal boundaries. I already have a rooster that I like, I surely don't need hormonal cockerels ticking off the girls. Would be nice if the breeder would take him back, he might like his looks and breed from him (saving his life).

Few new pictures. No crowing yet. We will see!
I have a friend that wants a barred rock rooster so I thankfully have an out for him!
I’ll update again when I have a final answer
