I have 4 BR's who are about 12 weeks old. I have a feeling one or two are Roos but I am not positive (the first one in the pictures below especially). Any incite would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Sorry the pictures aren't the best quality - posing isn't exactly a chicken's strong suit ;) let me know if a better picture of any would be helpful!

Even that first one? It's body shape and feathering is much more "full" than the others. Perhaps just developing a little quicker?

Thanks guys!

They do all look like hens...but the first one definitely has a few roo-ish traits too. "Her" legs look thicker, and yeah, her feathering is a little fuller. Any hackle/saddle feathers visible? That's what I would look for; but it looks like she has rounded neck feathers like the others.

The hackles are slightly pointed (much less compared to my Americana rooster, but I was attributing that to being a different breed) but yes, the saddle feathers seem awfully rounded (which is what is throwing me off). I suppose I could just be patient :)

Does she always hold her tail up like that? It could just be that pic or the fact that's she's high stepping in the photo. Lol But the darker coloration and lack of comb at 12 weeks looks more like a pullet to me.

They're all pullets. Barred rocks are great in that a single male sticks out of a batch of pullets like a sore thumb. The coloring is very, very different and obvious, you don't have to look at anything besides that and the comb.
