Barred rock rooster, feathers turning yellow

I'm a first time chicken owner, and my barred rock rooster's feathers just started turning yellow. I'm getting worried because it's starting to get worse. He's about 3 months old. These pictures are from a week apart.

Could he be mixed, or actually another breed where the males have crele coloration?

He could be. But would he change over time?

Yes. He's only 3 months old so adult plumage is not in yet. See how he is only just barely starting to get his stringy adult male feathers and does not yet have a grown rooster's tail?

I had the same breed and they also had feathers like that at their first year too and they were healthy chickens so i don't see is any reason to worry
