Barred Rock Rooster in Tyler, TX

I have a beautiful Barred Rock Rooster (5 months old) in need of a home. We bought him and 3 others (hens)as day old chicks and gave them to one of our broody hens, and she adopted them and raised them. We never intended to have a rooster and do not have a need of him. One of our best laying hens is terrified of him so the peace of our flock has been disrupted. He is friendly, sociable, and does a great job of doing "rooster things"--calling the girls to food, warning of predators. He is friendly to our other pets and has shown zero aggression towards me or my children.
