My barred rock is now 3 weeks old. She eats all the time but doesn’t seem to be growing as fast as the others. She is the only barred rock in the flock but I’m just not sure if this is normal or if something is wrong with her development. Here’s a couple pictures of her.

If behavior is otherwise normal.. no lethargy, etc.. I would consider it a genetic difference.. and not worry about it, since there wouldn't be much that you can do about it now.

I'm used to seeing lighter legs and toes on BR, though I'll admit I haven't seen a ton of them either way. Is skin on botom of the feet pink (white) or yellow?

Barred Rocks are slow feathering. What other breeds are you comparing her with? Is she the only Barred Rock? Is she smaller or just less feathered?

The bottom of her feet look more of a pinkish color. We got her from a farm in Chico and was told it was a barred rock pullet

My BRs seemed to explode overnight. They were around the size of yours at 3 weeks, and then just grew like weeds with no end in sight. We do have one that's quite tiny, if I had to guess she's smaller than the one in your photo still (and she's about 6 weeks old).

Yours is just beautiful, I love her dark legs! Good luck, all the best.

We have 3 barred rocks from McMurry Murray hatchery. Two are twice the size of the 3rd one. This 3rd one is a runt of the whole flock. I find this interesting you have this same problem. She hasn't grown at all and still look like a newborn. She is eating and drinking just fine but spends a lot of time under the heater. We will be moving her out of this flock in the brooder to join the brahmas that are coming in few days in the 1st brooder. Hope yours are doing well

She’s doing great now, kinda ended up just growing out of no where. She’s almost 7 weeks old now
