Cool and i just got some eggs that are cuckoo maran polish cross im hoping for a few odd balls out of them.

You can see the tassle starting to sprout on top of its head



Here is the back and semi stretched out wings to show coloring.


Apparently the head and neck will be black because little tufts of black are
starting to poke through the fuzz on head and neck.

I imagine this one will look a lot like the chick in my avatar even though I got them from two different places.

I'm dying to know how this chickie turned out!

I have a female Golden Laced Polish who is a beautiful specimen (huge full feather crest, healthy and robust, friendly, and an awesome egg-layer), and a Barred Rock chick who is looking like a male, and I'm interested in cross breeding them as soon as the roo is fertile but before we have to eat him.

I'd love an update with photos!!

This has been an interesting thread!
We just hatched two eggs. Well, our polish hen did lol!
The eggs came from our barred rocks, and our rooster is a silver laced polish.
Right now the chicks are all black, with fairly dark legs. I will post pictures as they grow...

Our WC black polish too is.over all our laying hens, but we have two EE that have come online in the last 20 days.
We're. Curious to see if we'll have more head poofs or muffs &tufts.
