I had the same situation. The farm I bought my chicks from said he gave me a BR. However they look just like the ones in the pictures. I guess Australorp to go along with my flock

Assuming that they were 3 days old when i bought them they are 7 ½ weeks old

Oreo wouldn't sit still so that's why there's only 2 pics of her. The rest are blurry.

I am so glad to see this picture. I have a barred rock and it has, what looks like bald spots on the same places that yours do. I thought for sure that I had missed something and the babies weren't getting everything they needed. whew glad to know that that happens when they grow. Is it because they are losing their "baby down" and growing in feathers there?

Oh yes. Lol sometimes when they get feathers and sometimes they just have them from a young age. My black sex link had three large spots i thought that there was something wrong but her "big girl" feathers came in just fine! My rooster had several. he feathered soooooo slowly like he barely had any big feathers until 4½ weeks so now he's looking pretty good at 6weeks.
