Barred rocks and predation?

I have several breeds of chickens. I have failed to put all of them up at some point. My banty and my buff orps lived outside the coop for months. The only chickens I have lost to predators are barred rocks. Could it be a coincidence? Could they be a dumb breed. Is there something about their color that stands out to racoons and bobcats? My ducks have never been bothered either.

Could be that they just wander further from safety. I have BRs and I personally think they are a tad smarter than others. I live in the woods and they are pretty well camouflaged. I dont now why yours are being taken.
